Who are we?

RVAte is a group of friends who love exploring and sharing their thoughts on the ever-expanding Richmond food scene. And posting pictures of food porn. Lots and lots of food porn.

We started out as a supper club, where we would meet up every month to try out a new (to us) restaurant in Richmond and its surrounding areas. Eventually we thought, “Hey! We’re having such a good time that we should share this with everyone.” And RVAte was born.

Micah is the Grand Poobah - or Big Cheese, if you will - of this site, editing its words, and generally running things. He’s got a law degree he’s not using and is on a never ending quest to find the best chicken and waffles in the city and beyond.
